September 4, 2013No real plan for Helsinki. Used the map the ship, Anastasia, handed out and located the major tourist sites and started walking. It was nice, not exceptional but nice. Really enjoyed the walking in the 70 degree sunshine. 2 stops on way back, lunch at McDonalds and Subway for dinner. Had to get a little variety which is the spice of life. Unfortunately unable to locate my pics. Need a new trip there.
- Bill Passman (World Tattoo Traveler)
- After getting my first passport in 2006 and traveling to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania my life changed. I began the process of getting rid of all my possessions and traveling the world. Traveling to over 110 countries and all 7 continents, hostels have been my home. This "new life" has taught me what is important and it was NOT accumulating money or possessions. Traveling is the best education. I hope my blog will encourage others to travel. My World Tattoo was a way for me to express my PASSION FOR TRAVEL.

SWEDEN, Gamla Stan
August 30, 2013Sweden is built on 14 islands and Gamla Stan is the oldest (13th century) and most beautiful. My hostel is located right in middle of Gamla Stan near the Royal Palace.
The Royal Palace has 608 rooms making it the largest royal palace in the world. I toured it today but unfortunately they do not allow photos.
June 20, 2019Only 39 minutes by TRAIN from Copenhagen, Denmark is beautiful town of Malmo. From the waterfront you can actually see Denmark.
June 22-24, 20192 hour train from Malmo but then 45 minute walk to hostel. Gothenburg was not what I expected. The "old town" does not seem very 9ld and really not a lot to see. The hostel recomnended visiting the nearby islands but doesnt really interest me. There is a large park neaarby where EVERYONE is catching "rays" when possible. Scandinavians LOVE their sun and I would too with long nights and cold in the winter. Lol
